Political Positions Outline

Below you will find a proposed starting point for the 2004 Neither Party Platform.  Click on the subject you are interested in, and tell us what you think.  By becoming a member (director) of the Neither Party website, you can participate in the VBOD Forum (Virtual Board of Directors Forum) and contribute your thoughts and ideas to this evolving platform.  This platform is a continuing work in progress and will change as other members participate in it's evolution.

Check out the Neither Party Preamble here.

II. TRADE AND ECONOMIC ISSUES - We believe that each person has the right to offer goods and services to others on the free market. The proper role of existing governments in the economic realm is to protect property rights, protect the public against illegal governmental and business practices, to adjudicate disputes and provide a legal and equitable framework in which voluntary trade is protected.

We believe that all individuals have the right to dispose of the fruits of their labor as they see fit. We heartily applaud those individuals and private charitable organizations that help the needy and contribute to a wide array of worthwhile causes through voluntary activities.

     a. The Economy
     b. Taxation
     c. Finance and Capital Investments
     d. Government Debt
     e. Corporations
      f. Monopolies
     g. Subsidies
     h. Trade Barriers
      i. Unions and Collective Bargaining

III. DOMESTIC ISSUES - Government (neither Republican nor Democrat) does not presently solve current problems in such areas as the environment, natural resources, energy, pollution, health care delivery, decaying cities, and poverty. The Neither Party will be active in solving these issues.

     a. Environment and Natural Resources
     b. Energy
     c. Pollution
     d. Consumer Protection
     e. Education
      f. Population
     g. Transportation
     h. Health Care
      i. Agriculture
      j. Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
     k. Social Security
      l. Election Laws
    m. Electronic Voting

IV. FOREIGN AFFAIRS -  American foreign policy should seek an America at peace with the world and the defense -- against attack from abroad -- of the lives, liberty, and property of the American people on American soil. Provision of such defense must respect the individual rights of people everywhere.

This principle of non-intervention should guide relationships between governments. The United States government should avoid entangling alliances, and abstain from foreign quarrels and imperialist adventures, and recognize the right to unrestricted trade and travel.

     a. Diplomatic Policy
          i. Negotiations
ii. International Travel and Foreign Investments
     b. Human Rights
     c. Foreign Aid
     d. Cuba
     e. Iraq
      f. World Government
     g. World Peace

V. MILITARY - The Neither Party advocates a position in opposition to our present governmental interactions where we now preemptively attack any nation for any purpose we can imagine.  No proof necessary.  Currently, if assumptions for war are later proven false, it is permissible to change the reasons for war, without explanation or apparent electoral penalty.

       a. Military Policy
       b. World Disarmament
       c. Veterans
       d. Presidential War Powers

VI. INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS - There exist two parallel universes concerning our international relations; one visible to all (even to the press who often regularly regurgitate recycled recitations as real reporting), and the other ‘universe’, one normally hidden from average citizen perusal, that for some usually immoral or illegal reason the government needed to keep secret simply, and for no other reason than, their actions wouldn’t stand the test of public scrutiny.

It is especially clear that both wings of the Republocratic party have some serious explaining to do regarding what our nation has done under many administrations in the worldwide arena that we, as average citizens know very little about.

     a. Colonialism
     b. Foreign Intervention
     c. Space Exploration

VII. TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION - The Neither Party believes the only way real change can occur is for mistakes of the past committed by both Republicans and Democrats be admitted, and amends made for criminal offenses when determined necessary.  The Republocrats will not allow themselves to be investigated by any kind of world tribunal.  Only the Neither Party will demand it. Only the truth will set us free.

VIII. OMMISIONS - This platform is a continuing work in progress.  We will be defining our platform in greater detail as more people participate in the process.  More planks will be added and perhaps subtracted from the platform as greater understanding and more input from others is gained.  We encourage you to participate in the process, especially in areas not discussed in our current platform.

Our silence about any particular government law, regulation, ordinance, directive, edict, control, regulatory agency, activity, or machination should not be construed to imply approval or disapproval.

The above is an evolving work in progress and your participation will shape its evolution. Get involved, take a stand and help in whatever way you can: Join, spread the word, support, and encourage others to do the same.
